Bodegas La Florida
Bodegas La Florida sits in El Islote, the inland strip of San Bartolomé that gathers grapes from across the D.O. Lanzarote.
The estate is built around a rehabilitated 19th-century farmhouse — its lagar and aljibe preserved — once bequeathed by Luis Ramírez to fund the schooling of San Bartolomé's young people. Owner Ginés González Viera acquired the property and began vinifying in 2012, working with Malvasía Volcánica, Listán Negro and Moscatel grown on the surrounding land. The everyday Jameo label — Malvasía blanco, a Listán Negro–Syrah–Tempranillo tinto, and a Moscatel Dulce — turns up in island supermarkets; the older La Florida range, including a semi-seco Malvasía and a rosado, is sold from the on-site gourmet shop. A 270-year-old drago at the entrance and a 160-metre volcanic jameo cut through the grounds anchor the visit.
